Baldr Force Translation
Once upon a time, I was a nieve lad, and I played a fun game called Baldr Force. I found Baldr Force imensely enjoyable, and wished to see the game in english. Now I wasn’t very good at japanese (and still arn’t), but I took it upon myself to try to translate the game.
I built some tools to modify the game (along with some help of an online buddy, SNK), and started work. I dredged for hours and hours on end, laboring hard on the translation.
And then, it was done. The first part of the prologue that is. I just didn’t have the power to do the whole game. But I’ll provide what I have, and the tools if anyone wishes to continue the project. I’m sort of working on it, but I don’t expect to really get anywhere.
So without further adue, here’s the patch in all its glorious poorly written slightly inaccurate translation.
Note: Baldr Force is a futuristic action adventure game by Giga‘s team BaldrHead. The game is rated 18+, for mature themes and sexual content. Nice job on setting up the build chain. It works pretty well and gets the job done. However, the script format may need another level of processing, because it would be quite tedious for a translator to step through all the code to get to the actual lines. In order for someone to be able to get through the script fast, perhaps it would be better to coagulate all the PUSHB’s into a separate file or something and then replace PUSHB with PUSHB $str1 or something.

I’d like to see a full translation of this game. I wonder if someone could negotiate with some programmers and some translators that do fansubs to translate this. I, unfortunatly, do not know any, but I may find some people who do.
I’m playing with those tools of yours now. For someone who knows Japanese(I am not one of them), this would be a piece of cake.
